Illustrative Experience

Over the years, EE&T through its team of capable professionals has successfully completed large scale consultancy and advisory mandates for a diverse and prestigious clientele.

Some Illustrative examples of those mandates are given below:

  • Carried out due diligence of the largest telecom provider in Pakistan, in association with a Middle East based accounting firm. The mandate involved undertaking a comprehensive exercise in evaluating regulatory, accounting, financial and business environment related aspects of the transaction involving the company.

  • Provide valuation and buy-side advisory - for acquisition of a Pakistani Bank, undertook valuation of the bank's investment portfolio and conducted a due diligence exercise on the Treasury and Risk Management functions on behalf of an acquiring consortium.

  • Actuarial Valuation of Investor Protection and Clearing House Protection Fund for the Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited. As part of the assignment the two funds were analyzed and recommendations were made on funding levels and future strategy in the light of international best practices.

  • Advised and designed a roll-out strategy for Small and Medium Enterprise Financing Programme (SMEFP) of an ‘AAA’ rated financial institution. The project involved two stages. The design phase of strategy involved stakeholder consultation and analysis, and review of proposed regulatory mechanisms and trends in international and domestic SME financing. The second phase involved roll out of the above programme and successful implementation through development of an Operating Instructions Manual and training modules.

  • Facilitated and successfully concluded a comprehensive organizational development initiative for a leading organization from oil & gas industry. The assignment entailed determining the Mission, Vision and Corporate Values of the Company through a senior management conference; design and implementation of change initiatives; complete HR audit of current policies, practices and systems; developing a new organization structure, completing Job Description Documents (JDD) for top positions in the company; facilitating the ensuing restructuring of the organization; and designing and developing a new Service Rules Manual.

  • Advised a UAE based group in preparing to launch an Islamic Bank in Pakistan. The assignment included assisting the sponsors in defining the business strategy for the proposed Bank, developing products and services, formulating the delivery platform from the perspective of operations, credit and Shariah compliance, and obtaining approval from the State Bank of Pakistan.
